A happy jester he is not
Shots from the extraordinary-looking new production of Verdi’s Rigoletto at the English National Opera.
The show, with its gigantic wood-paneled set, runs until 14 March.
Guns and nipple tassels

In the beginning
Going through the archives the other day I came across the first publicity shots I ever took, all the way back at the beginning of 2010, to promote Tennessee Williams’ take on Chekhov’s The Seagull, The Notebook of Trigorin.
The piece went on to generate a debate in the Guardian over costuming accuracy, which has got to be something of a rarity…
Finian’s Rainbow
It shouldn’t be possible to squeeze a cast this size into the Union Theatre and have them whirl and jig with all the gusto they do. And yet, somehow, they fit.
Shots from the amazing Finian’s Rainbow, in its first professional London revival since its original West End run. The show runs until 15 March.

Lost Boy
I try to mix my blog up a bit for variety, so this post is something of a rarity: production shots from a production that’s still open and you can still go to see!
These shots are from the fantastic new musical Lost Boy, which floats the question of how Peter Pan and co would cope with adulthood and World War I.
Having debuted at the Finborough, the show’s on at the Charing Cross Theatre until 15 February and you can book tickets here.
Like a thrifty goddess
Never let it be said that Shakespeare was a twisted man. Shots from last year’s production of Measure for Measure at the Union Theatre, which saw the space transformed into, well, a walk-through brothel among other things…
My Favorite Year
Back in the spring of this year I was privileged to shoot the production shots for the London School of Musical Theatre’s season at the Bridewell Theatre (famed for having a swimming pool beneath the stage, trivia geeks…). These stills are from the brilliant production of My Favorite Year.
