Much Ado In London

Having toured cathedrals and trotted around the south of France, Antic Disposition’s highly entertaining production of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing comes to London, where it plays at the historic Gray’s Inn Hall to 1 September.

Much Ado About Nothing

The tour runs to 24 July before the production decamps to France.  It comes to London, at Gray’s Inn Hall, from 17 August.



A Christmas Carol

Ringing out 2017, the irrepressible David Burt returns as Ebeneezer Scrooge in Antic Disposition’s adaptation of Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at the Middle Temple Hall.

The production closes tonight.



Richard III

Production and rehearsal shots from Antic Disposition’s tour of Shakespeare’s Richard III, which has two more nights to run in the towering Salisbury Cathedral before jetting off to the south of France.

The production returns to the UK in August to take up residence in London’s Temple Church (more production shots then!).



The Comedy of Errors

Once more unto the breach

Production shots from the return of Antic Disposition’s phenomenal First World War reimagining of Shakespeare’s Henry V.

The show plays in the new — but typically atmospheric — climes of London’s Middle Temple Hall to 6 April before embarking on a tour of English cathedrals.



Henry V returns

Publicity shots of the wonderful Freddie Stewart and Floriane Andersen, shot for the forthcoming tour of Antic Disposition’s World-War-I-based take on Shakespeare’s Henry V.

The tour begins in London on 26 March before visiting some of the nation’s great cathedrals, before bowing out at the Holy Trinity Church in Stratford-upon-Avon.



A Christmas Carol

Antic Disposition are back at the Middle Temple Hall with their ebullient take on Dickens’s Christmas Carol.

David Burt returns as Scrooge (of the gruel and the grumpiness) and Once star David Hunter has his way with Bob Cratchit.

The show only runs to 30 December so if you’re intending to see it book a ticket…



Tiny Timple

I’m having a puns week, so you’ll forgive the title.

Antic Disposition’s wonderful Christmas Carol returns to the Middle Temple Hall next month for a strictly limited run from 22 to 30 December.

We pottered around the Temple with stars David Burt and David Hunter earlier this month in search of climes Dickensian…



Regarding Henry

Theatre company Antic Disposition have returned to Temple Church with a new — and rather beautiful — production of Shakespeare’s Henry V, fresh from their tour in France.  Some of the production shots below.

The show runs in the legal cathedral to Saturday 5 September.
